I think it was mostly using a leafblower one handed (first right, then left, then back...), over our huge yard several weeks in a row. That torqued it pretty good and some shots I took in b-ball didn't help. I don't know if its rotator cuff or what, but it isn't easing up at all over weeks of attempted "rest". Best way to explain it is raise your left arm up and straight out to your side. A variety of things ache or ouch when I do that that I don't feel with my right.

Sounds a bit like a rotator cuff but it could also be bursitus(sp). In any event odd nosies are not a good thing. I'd recomend letting someone look at it, maybe a sports med. type. The fact that its not getting better points to more then simple muscle strain.

Sigh... illness, snow, working from home, more than enough reasons. Gotta make sure they aren't excuses. I'm giving myself this weekend to get rid of this cough and ache and then Monday I'm going to get back on the program. 30min walk/run a day at home or work on weekdays. Walking the dogs. Eating right. No extra snacking.

Yep, getting up off the mat, one... more... time.

Well, I'm still around 280 pounds which is a good thing. I'm walking more with the dogs of late, good thing. Haven't run in weeks, bad thing. Really getting settled into working at home (save gas, less depressing, don't waste travel time since I need all the time I can get for work), so that has hosed my routine beyond the walking. Way too much work. I'm still struggling to really get over this cold completely. A few nights working until 1 or 2am can really set me back health-wise. So right now I'm back to sleeping through the night ,but don't feel up to running yet. I'll keep with the walking.

Thanks for checking in.

Being sick definitely sucks. Good luck with getting the routine established.

Just a little update. I'm doing stretching exercises to try and avoid repair surgery on my shoulder injury. (The injury is a "full thickness tear of one of the four Rotator Cuff tendons"). I'm walking 30+min a day with the dogs. That's about it beyond the exertions of our painting, etc. Not a complete lump.

Big,

I don't know if you are interested, but I do have a treadmill here at my house. It is free to a good home, since I have the elliptical now. There are a few minor issues with it (ramp doesn't work, nor does the display), but it does work. You would just need to figure out how to get out it out of my house.

Thanks for the offer, but we have one sized to my "weight class" here at home. Using it is another issue. My exercise time is spent with the dogs since Clifford needs so much activity at this age.
