If you remember, that trainer at World's was also on the eat five meals a day thing. I think that is hard, and I work out of my house. I still really had to schedule the time in to remind myself to go eat something now. But I find that I don't have those hunger pangs at any point in the day that leads to binge snacking.

Right on that one. You have to have the fuel to exercise. 800 calories a day is starvation for anyone not 4'3" and 85 lbs. I've not looked it up in a while but even my relativly modest 5'7"/165lbs is supposed to eat around 18-2000 calories a day with a good exercise routine.

Jeffs right about the 'famine' response too. The body is snaeky that way, just when you think cutting back will help it hurts. Actually you have may have eat slightly more when adding the workouts to maintain weight loss. Sounds wierd but its all in the timing and what you eat.

Wow, weekends are going to be tough. Vickie is trying her best but I get sucked in along with her in getting food and once its there I don't have much hope of not sating myself. We had folks over for cards last night and got way too much Greek food so I ate about twice as much as I'd intended to.

Ah well, learning things and its a new day. :)

This weekend has not been bad for me -- I am working up here in Detroit (just me), so it is easier (no disctrations such as going to the movies, etc). Today I will have one "cheat meal" as Mark calls it -- the gamers are going out for Dim Sum before I abuse them in the ToEE. The best item from Dim Sum is what only can be described as a "Pork Donut", and it is wonderful.

I think I've made a little progress on both of my telltales (pants and wedding right tightness) (not feeling overtight anymore like I was at my weight peaks over the last few months). But I've had a bad few days and the weight is slipping back on. Yesterday was bad, up at 4:40am to catch flight (ate drivethru breakfast, Nooo!), met with customers, lunch was brought in (ate salad, sandwich and 1.5 cookies, not the best), dinner in airport around 7 (caeser salad and veggie soup, yea!) followed immediately by a bag of "trail mix" with M&Ms in it (boo...) followed by getting home around 9:30, continuing to do Lucent stuff and eating some popcorn (eh). Didn't get any exercise and this morning my back is killing me. That along with a firedrill deadline here is keeping me from running today...

But every day is new, and I'm going to keep my chin up. No breakfast (slipped back from my commitment to 5 small 'meals' a day), had chicken noodle with veggies soup (yea!) and a patty melt (burger, cheese, onions, rye bread... boo!) but didn't grab any cookies or other goodies. Going to try to hit the treadmill tonight if my back will shut up...

One step at a time. Its doubly hard when your schedual has you running in circles. Like you said, day by day, keep at it. :D

Yeah, work always gets in the way of trying to get healthy.

How did the official weigh-in go with your group?

Everyone inched down. Me by 2.5 pounds, others by less others by more.

Thanks for the support, it really is necessary to keep this going...

Yep. That is the main reason that I moved my exercise journal to the forums.
