I haven't been following this forum that much, but I will toss this out there. I have a wii for about 5 days, and my arms are far more sorer than I've been able to do at a gym.

And yes, http://www.penny-arcade.com/comic/2006/11/13 is pretty accurate.

I have heard of the health benefits of Wii. I have also heard that some of the straps are weak, and put the TV at a high risk (must protect the HDTV...)

The original straps were relatively weak (I think the tests showed something like 45 lb of force). I think it was mostly idiots screwing up and throw them at the tv and then blaming the strap. But the new straps are extra strong.

I will say that the results are entertaining. http://www.wiihaveaproblem.com/

I think one of our interns hit their TV playing a bowling game. Pretty funny.
